The man behind the songs

Dan Stephens is a Texas songwriter and author. His songs come from the same place as his novels: real experiences, real people, real roads, and the kind of heartbreak you only understand after a few decades of love.

He writes every lyric and melody himself, then produces the recordings in his home studio outside Willis, Texas. Between records he writes novels, runs a safety consulting firm, explores the backroads of America and keeps a dry sense of humor about all of it.
